When Shifter switched their newsletter provider to Make, they got a simpler and more tailored newsletter solution. Now, they send out daily newsletters directly from their RSS feed, saving both time and manual effort.

Shifter's Results After Switching to Make

  • 80 to 90% of the newsletter content is pulled directly from RSS

  • Daily mailings completed without manual copying and pasting

  • Automatically updated content leads to fewer errors and higher relevance

  • Inquiries are resolved in minutes

A Simpler Workday with a Norwegian Solution

Shifter previously used Beehiiv to send newsletters, but found the system contained too many features that were not relevant to their needs. "Beehiiv had incredibly numerous and complex features. It became cluttered. Make has exactly what we need," says Lucas.

Their requirement was simple: a tool that could support daily newsletter mailings with articles from their own RSS feeds, while remaining stable, secure, and intuitive to use.

Lucas also appreciates being able to support Norwegian companies. "We love Norwegian entrepreneurs. Why support US-based companies when we can support local ones?"

Automated Delivery via RSS

Shifter adopted Make in February 2025. Working with the team at Make, the account was quickly set up. For Bankshift in particular, the RSS functionality has been crucial for daily publishing routines. Today, 80 to 90% of the content in Bankshift's newsletters consists of articles pulled directly from the RSS feed. The editorial team reviews and approves the content before sending.

Why Make? Norwegian, Accessible, and Relevant

It quickly became clear that Make met both technical and practical requirements: easy to get started, a Norwegian solution aligned with local regulations and GDPR, fast and personal support, and an intuitive tool built for Norwegian users.

"Make is not about unnecessary bells and whistles; it is solid craftsmanship. A safer and better product." Lucas also highlights the accessibility of the team: "If I have a question, Daniel answers in less than a minute."

What Was Shifter's Experience?

"When we have many articles to publish at a given time, using RSS is incredibly convenient. It makes creating the newsletter simple and efficient."
