Aim CMS and Make: Automated event content for municipalities

Does your municipality or organisation use Aim CMS to publish events and calendar data? You can connect Aim CMS with Make to automatically include this content in your newsletter, eliminating duplicate work.

What is Aim CMS?

Aim CMS is a web-based publishing system developed by Sem & Stenersen Prokom for municipalities and the public sector. Designed as a headless CMS, content is stored centrally and made available via APIs to websites, apps, and other digital services. It is used to create, publish, and manage content such as articles, events, and calendar data. Editors work in a web-based interface, while content is published to multiple channels simultaneously through APIs.

How the integration works

This is a pure content integration, not a contact synchronization. Make retrieves data from the Aim CMS event calendar, providing access to the latest upcoming events. The feed is tailored for Make and converted into RSS rows that you can easily drag and drop into your newsletter template. Aim CMS serves as the master system, and the data transfer is one-way.

Why connect Aim CMS and Make?

  • Avoid duplicate work: Events only need to be entered once.

  • Always fresh content: The newsletter updates automatically based on the calendar.

  • Built for the public sector: Particularly suited for municipalities already publishing in Aim CMS.

  • Faster production: Less manual effort required to build newsletters about local events.
