Airtable

In short: Airtable connects to Make via Zapier, automatically transferring new or updated rows in a table as contacts, without manual export.

Airtable and Make – synchronize contacts via Zapier

Do you use Airtable to organize contacts, members, or leads? By connecting Airtable with Make via Zapier, data flows automatically between the systems – without manual uploads.

What is Airtable?

Airtable is a cloud-based tool that combines the best of spreadsheets and databases. It is easy to get started with, yet powerful enough to handle complex workflows. You can organize data in tables, link tables together, and customize the view as needed – whether you prefer a grid, a kanban board, or a calendar.

How the integration works

This connection runs via Zapier, not as a direct integration. The flow is simple: you activate the Make app in Zapier, create a new "zap" with Airtable as the trigger, and choose whether the trigger should be a new row or an updated row. Zapier checks Airtable for new data at regular intervals (polling, typically every 15 minutes), and therefore requires the table to have a "last updated" field to check against. Finally, you map the Airtable fields to the correct contact list in Make.

The flow consists of just two steps, meaning it works well with Zapier free – the free version has a limit of 100 tasks per month, equivalent to up to 50 transferred contacts monthly, as each transfer uses two tasks.

Why connect Airtable and Make?

  • Avoid manual export – new or updated rows automatically end up in the correct list in Make

  • Flexible – works with the exact table structure you already have in Airtable

  • Cost-effective to start – works with the free version of Zapier for smaller volumes

  • No code required – the entire setup is completed within the Zapier interface
