Do you want to do more with your newsletter statistics than just view them in Make? With the Newsletter API, you can extract detailed engagement data in the format that best suits your needs and use it in your own systems, dashboards, reports, or newsletter archives.
What is the Newsletter API?
The Newsletter API is Make's own statistics API, providing insights into opens, clicks, and other engagement data for your newsletter campaigns.
Two ways to retrieve your data
1. JSON – for developers and internal systems
Via a standard REST endpoint (GET /api/public/v1/newsletters/stats), you can retrieve all campaigns, or a single campaign based on the sending ID. This is best suited when you want to build custom logic, store data in your own database, or connect it to other tools via code.
2. RSS – for automatic streaming
The same data is also available as an RSS feed. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard for publishing data so that other systems can automatically read and update – without anyone having to manually export or send files. Instead of retrieving numbers yourself, an external system can "subscribe" to the feed and get new data automatically every time statistics are updated. This works on the same principle as a news app staying updated on new articles from an online newspaper. RSS is particularly well suited for building a newsletter archive – a list of previous campaigns published on your own website.
